Description and Purpose

Designed for small drama groups and schools, this book contains 5 short plays presented first as a short story as it would appear in a magazine and then as a proper drama script.

Less experienced new actors and directors may find the story version of help in understanding how to portray the scripts. The dialogue is the same in both but the story version does not need any spoiler alerts and is closer to being what the audience will feel. The dialogues have been chosen with the intention of reducing the possibility of causing offence.

'The Auditions' play has won awards

When 'The Auditions' play was performed by the Domino Theatre group in Canada it won 4 awards. The play has many small parts and is particularly suitable for groups. Unlike most plays, it even includes a part for an actor or actress with a hearing disability.

Special Licencing for Amateur Groups

For genuine amateur groups and for schools (excluding professional drama schools), a perpetual performance licence will be deemed to be granted for all 5 plays if the organization purchases and retains at least 4 copies of the book.
